# Armorsmith Designer: Costume Design Made for Cosplayers

> Armorsmith Designer is a Windows desktop app that turns your body measurements into a 3D avatar so you can fit, scale, and generate templates from existing 3D models.

Armorsmith Designer is a standalone Windows desktop application created specifically for cosplayers who want costume pieces that actually fit their body. You enter your real-world measurements, build a personalized 3D avatar, attach and adjust 3D costume model files, and then generate printable paper-craft template patterns you can cut, fold, and assemble into physical armor or props. The entire workflow lives in a single application — no subscriptions, no companion software, and no prior 3D modeling experience required.

## Core workflow

Every project in Armorsmith Designer follows the same three-stage process:

1. **Avatar** — Enter your body measurements to create a 3D avatar that matches your proportions. This avatar acts as your personal fitting mannequin throughout the project.
2. **Parts** — Import 3D costume model files (OBJ, STL, 3MF, FBX, or PDO) and position, rotate, scale, and fit each piece onto your avatar until everything sits the way you intend to wear it.
3. **Templates** — Generate and edit fitted parts that you can then be exported as printable paper-craft template patterns, scaled to your exact measurements, ready for physical construction.
