# Manage Your Armorsmith Designer License and Serial Number

> Understand the one-time purchase model, locate your serial number in Gumroad, activate on a new machine, and keep Armorsmith Designer up to date.

Armorsmith Designer uses a simple one-time purchase model. You buy the software once on Gumroad, receive a serial number, and use that serial number to activate the application. There are no subscriptions, no renewal fees, and no paid upgrade tiers — future updates to Armorsmith Designer are included in your original purchase at no additional cost. The license allows you to install on three separate machines. If you require more installations please contact us.

## Finding your serial number

Your serial number is generated by Gumroad at the time of purchase and tied to your Gumroad account.

1. Log in to [Gumroad](https://app.gumroad.com/library) and open your **Library**.
2. Click on the **Armorsmith Designer** purchase to open its detail page.
3. Your serial number is displayed on that page. Copy it exactly, including any hyphens or capitalization.

  You can also find your serial number in the original purchase confirmation email that Gumroad sent after checkout. Search your inbox for an email from Gumroad with the subject line referencing Armorsmith Designer.

## Activating on a new machine

If you get a new PC or need to reinstall Windows, you can activate Armorsmith Designer again using the same serial number you received at purchase. Download the latest installer from your Gumroad library, install the application, and enter your serial number on the activation screen at first launch. No additional steps are required.

## Keeping Armorsmith Designer up to date

Because updates are included with your purchase, staying current is straightforward. You have two options:

* **In-app update check:** Open Armorsmith Designer and choose **Help → Check For Updates**. The application will check for a newer version and prompt you to download it if one is available.
* **Manual re-download:** Log in to your [Gumroad library](https://app.gumroad.com/library), open your Armorsmith Designer purchase, and download the latest installer. Run it over your existing installation to update to the newest version.

  Your serial number remains valid across updates. You will not be asked to re-enter it after updating an existing installation.

  No. Armorsmith Designer is a one-time purchase and all future updates are included. You can update at any time using **Help → Check For Updates** inside the app, or by re-downloading the latest installer from your Gumroad library. Your original serial number continues to work after every update.

  Your serial number is always available in your Gumroad account. Log in to [Gumroad](https://app.gumroad.com/library), go to your **Library**, and click on the Armorsmith Designer purchase to view your serial number.
